TJ Beck and Brian Rintelman Scholarship Fund
There are individuals and families that touch Mel’s Pig Roast. TJ Beck, Brian Rintelman and Brian’s father Don were killed in a 2006 car accident in Wisconsin Dells. We are very proud to help fund scholarships in memory of TJ and Brian.
The Beck family stated, “Thank you for the generous donation to TJ’s fund. It is amazing what Mel’s Pig Roast does for the community. You are very special people."

Brian’s mom, Ann, also expressed her appreciation. “I am just warmed by your support and generosity for my son’s scholarship. In humble appreciation for the many things you do to support the various charities”.

Mel's Pig
Roast Remembers Dennis Dachel

Mel's Pig Roast lost a dear friend
on December 22, 2009, when Dennis Dachel passed away at the
age of 68. Dennis never missed a pig roast
until the last 2 years while he courageously battled cancer.
At 2009's event, Dennis donated
a signed Wisconsin Badger helmet from his all-time favorite
player, Jim Leonhard. The winning bid was the Mel's Pig
Roast Committee, who returned it to its rightful owner, our
good friend Dennis. The best part of this story is
that Jim Leonhard (now plays for the NY Jets) was notified
on how the helmet was returned and personally called Dennis
at
his home a month before he passed away. He wanted to let him
know that he had heard of his story, and he was thinking of
him.
Dennis will be missed...but never
forgotten!
Mel's Pig
Roast Supports the Bush Family
On June 3, 2009 in Farmington,
WI, the house that George and Amy Bush lived in burned
to the ground. George and Amy have two daughters, Kaitlynn
(17) and Samantha (16). Kaitlynn and Samantha suffer from
a rare brain disease called MoyaMoya, which causes closing
and narrowing of the arteries and other blood vessels in
the brain. Both girls have many day-to-day challenges.
Through the help of the community and their strong faith,
the family was able to rebuild their lives and home. Dan
Arndt and Ed Bublitz from the Tri-County Pork Producers
asked if we could help in any way. The family really needed
a new T.V. and some food. We were happy to donate a 42"
HDTV and side of processed beef to this inspirational family.
